Job Duties and Responsibilities

We are looking for a talented Messaging Engineer to join our growing team at Regulated Services and make an impact in the dynamic field of application-to-person (A2P) messaging.

Key Responsibilities

Design and maintain scalable A2P messaging solutions that are routed through multiple aggregators.

Develop KPIs to monitor messaging routes and delivery mechanisms to improve reliability, latency and efficiency.

Use ENUM and NNID to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to message delivery and platform performance.

Familiarity with the role of the SMSC, MMSC, SMPP-GW and network functions within a 5G-core network.

Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including TCPA, and good understanding of FCC regulations related to messaging.

Implement measures to prevent spam, spoof, AIT and grey routes, and ensure campaigns satisfy security and vetting requirements.

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to validate messaging features, enhancements and dependencies, including automation where applicable.

Collaborate with product and engineering teams to support integration and upgrades for smooth functionality and robust performance.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

3+ years of technical experience in A2P messaging, SMS/MMS gateway technologies, or related fields

Skills And Qualifications

Proven track record of working with high-volume and dynamic messaging systems, either with a carrier or an aggregator.

Understanding of ENUM, aggregators and routing of A2P traffic.

Familiarity with A2P campaign vetting and security.

Understanding of messaging protocols and architecture and its interaction with other network functions in the core network.

Familiarity with cloud-based messaging platforms (e.g. AWS).

Experienced in working with multiple vendors/partners in the 5G messaging ecosystem.

Familiarity with spam platforms for messaging is a positive.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and develop effective solutions.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $83,160.00/Year - $136,625.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
