Registered Nurse - ICU @ DCH Regional Medical Center

Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: ICU - Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night, 4x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years ICU with cardiac experience required; 3-5 years CVICU preferred License: Must have active state or compact license Certifications: ACLS & BLS required Must-Have: - Read and interpret telemetry - Swans Ganz required - Hemodynamic management required - Central lines and chest tubes required - Phlebotomy and EKGs required - Time management skills and experience in admissions & discharges Job Description: - Float required to other like units and possibly emergency department (ED)- Work every other weekend- High-paced unit with combined medical and surgical cardiac ICU- Manage patient diagnoses related to fresh open heart surgeries (not for Travel Nurses)- Knowledge of stepdown rooms- Experience with cardiac drips/titration required- Familiarity with special procedures such as lobectomy, thoracotomy, and hypothermia preferred- Background in Impella and IABP preferred but not required for Travel Nurses- Complete 1 day classroom and 2 days on-unit orientation- Wear navy scrubs- Passing dysrhythmia exam required during compliance and onsite- International Education Verification required for candidates with international education- Bring own stethoscope to work- Adhere to strict attendance policy
