Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced General Manager to oversee our casual dining and event hosting business. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service and hospitality, with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role requires effective leadership skills to manage kitchen operations, event execution, staff, and customer relations while ensuring the highest standards of quality and service. This role also requires proficiency in communicating in both English and Spanish.DutiesLead and manage all aspects of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities.Lead and manage all aspects of event operations, including sales, set-up, and coordination with internal and external event contributors.Lead and manage all business administrative functions, including human resources, financial services and general office.Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.Oversee kitchen management, ensuring food quality, presentation, and safety standards are met.Oversee food and beverage procurement and maintain vendor relationships.Oversee cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll functions.Oversee sales team to achieve revenue goals by growing sales of existing products and developing new products.Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the property and the facility.Train, mentor, and supervise staff to foster a positive work environment and promote team collaboration.Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs to maximize profitability.Utilize Spot-On POS system for managing transactions, tracking sales, and analyzing performance metrics.Prepare and manage monthly financial performance statements and develop annual operating budget.Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction.Maintain state liquor license for the establishment.Collaborate with culinary teams to create innovative menu items that align with market trends.ExperienceProven experience in food service management or a similar role within the restaurant industry.Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, culinary techniques, and food safety regulations.Familiarity with Spot-On POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred.Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with staff and customers.Proficient in reading, writing and speaking both English and Spanish.ServSafe Certified or a Certified Food Protection Manager Certificate issued by the State of Minnesota.Qualified to hold a state of Minnesota liquor license.Minnesota Alcohol Seller Course certified or capable of becoming certified.A background in hospitality is highly desirable.Join our team as a General Manager where you can help shape the dining or event experience while leading a talented group of individuals in a vibrant environment.
