Job Description: Technician Spec / First Article Inspector (FAI) - Uses predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to inspect visually in-process and completed products such as electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies or mechanical units, sub-assemblies, structural flaws and internal defects. Uses various measuring devices. Accepts, rejects, or supports rework of defective or malfunctioning units or systems. Works from blueprints, diagrams, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawings or inspection instructions and checklists. With this information and skill set the individual will complete first article documentation in accordance with AS9102 requirements. Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and computer system navigation is required. Must have IPC610/J-STD, IPC620 experience and strong knowledge is required. Additionally, excellent communication ability is required. Quality certifications such as ASQ, CMI or CQT is a plus.Comments for Suppliers: -Candidate has a strong background in the manufacturing FAI process of Circuit Cards, Cables and Subassemblies.

-Has the willingness and ability to perform assembly tasks related to assigned inspection areas as needed.

-Must have IPC620/IPC610/J-STD experience and strong knowledge.

-Detail-oriented and proficient at interpreting drawings, diagrams, parts lists, IPC manuals, revision control, reference documents and work instructions.

-A team player with strong verbal and written communication skills. Interfaces effectively and diplomatically with assemblers, test technicians, engineers, customers and management when resolving quality issues.

-Proficient with Personal Computers.

-No Degree Required

*THIS IS A FIRST ARTICLE INSPECTOR POSITION, INSPECTION EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED*

Shift hours are 5:00 AM -3:30 PM / Mon-Thurs with OT on the weekends.

All candidates must take and pass a medical exam as outlined in the supplier guide.
