A hospital in Arizona is looking for experienced nurses for a travel contract for their MS/Tele float pool. The right candidate will have 2+ years of current tele experience.COVID vaccine is required or declination form with supporting documentation from clergy or MD.Job Requirements
2+ years of current tele experienceActive BLS, ACLS, and AZ license or compactMust be able to titrate dripsRequired to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to starting (2 max attempts)Must take a pass/fail Sim lab on day 1 of orientationSchedule Information
12 hr shifts. 7-7.Every other weekendThere will be frequent floating to sister facility, Mercy GilbertNotification of campus and unit given 1.5 hrs prior to shift startFloating to different units mid-shift can happenRare to float to another campus within a single shift, but possibleUnit Specific Information
Will float between all Tele and MedSurg unitsCV Tele B3A - 32 beds, ratio 1:3-4, BLS, ACLS, no patient assignment for charge nurseA3 Neuro - 28 beds, ratio 1:3-4, BLS, ACLS, NIHSSMedSurg C5 - 32 beds, ratio 1:4 ratio days and nights, BLS, ACLSMedSurg B2C - 29 beds, ratio 1:4 ratio days and nights, BLS, ACLSCommon diagnoses/types of patients: Post cath lab, post vascular procedures, day 2 CABG patients, general tele, neuro post-surgical, post-crani, spine, CVAs post TPA, etc.Additional Details
MUST BE ABLE TO TITRATE CARDIAC DRIPSFloating is required. Depending on skill level, nurses will float to ICU, Cardiac Tele, as well as all Tele units, MedSurg, any & every holding areaThey staff the observation floor 1st, then the other unitsDepending on traffic takes 15 minutes. All interstateMust clock-out when leaving one campus then clock-in when arrive at the other campus
