The Expert DBA will be engaged in database deliverables, such as physical database design, capacity planning, quality assurance standards, backup and recovery designs, disaster recovery plans, and security implementation plan. The DBA will also manage, maintain, upgrade, and migrate production and non-production databases.This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and the Oakland General Office(OGO) based on business needs.PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of thejob posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will bebased on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience,market value, geographic location, and internal equity.Although we estimatethe successful candidate hiredinto this rolewill beplaced between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decisionwill be made on a case-by-casebasis related tothese factors.This job is also eligible to participate inPG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.A reasonable salary range is:Bay Area Minimum: $126,000Bay Area Maximum: $200,000-Or-California Minimum: $120,000California Maximum:$190,000Job ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with Project Manager on complex project timelines, identifying critical path, resource estimates, risks, and dependencies.Exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance with broad scope and high complexity.Lead and collaborates on Postgres database standards and technologies.Frequently demonstrates advanced knowledge of emerging softwares/add-ons related to Postgres.Mentor fellow DBAs and management.Lead Postgres database architectural designs.Present in Technology Forums and openly discusses experience.Resolves high complexity database problems of broad scope within procedural guidelines.Understands business requirements and applies them to complex database design and development.Documentation.QualificationsMinimum:Bachelor's degree in computer science or job-related discipline or equivalent experience.8 years' experience in database technology, job-related.7 years of Postgres experience.Desired:Strong experience with Postgres database administration tasks.Strong experience with Postgres database performance factors, monitoring, and tuning.Strong knowledge and experience of Postgres High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions.Strong scripting experience.Expertise with PostgresExpertise with LinuxExperience with OracleExperience with MS SQL ServerExperience with Kubernetes#featuredjob
