Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Nursing Float Pool Job Specialty: Step Down Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights - 3x12 hour shifts with weekends (every other weekend) & holidays as needed Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: 2 years required License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; Stroke Certified preferred Must-Have: Epic experience required, Nicotine-free candidates only, Flu vaccination required from September 7 - April 30 Job Description: - Join the Nursing Float Pool and provide care across all MedSurg units as needed.- Deliver high-quality care to Covid patients.- Work in a 32-bed Step Down Intermediate Care Unit, primarily serving adult and geriatric patients with cardiac diseases and strokes.- Manage acute cardiac events requiring continuous intravenous medication drips.- Provide care pre and post electrophysiology (EP) studies, cardiac catheterization, and pacemaker/automated implantable cardiac defibrillator (AICD) procedures.- Collaborate with the CHF Program Coordinator and Stroke Program Coordinator to provide excellent patient education.- Ensure compliance with vaccination requirements.- Maintain a nicotine-free lifestyle.- Understand that all time off and scheduling requests must be communicated in advance.- Note that candidates with previously suspended licenses will not be considered.- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, or have an approved medical/religious exemption.
