The body controls firmware team is responsible for firmware, sensing, and controls of mechatronics systems in Tesla vehicles. These systems include falcon wing doors, seats, liftgates, windows, latches, wipers, mirrors, various sensing systems, interior and exterior lighting, and control of other small motors in the vehicle. Responsibilities

Design exhaustive automated test cases that run in both software and hardware in the loop test fixturesCollaborate with software, hardware, and integration engineersAssist in the design of new test fixturesExecute and maintain a suite of regression tests to sign off on software functionality for each release of vehicle softwareDevelop and maintain test infrastructure to automate test execution, result collection, and result analysisRequirements

Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or proof of exceptional skills in related fields with practical software engineering experienceAbility to develop tests from specificationsFluent in PythonExperience writing self-documenting, reusable, and maintainable codeAbility to collaborate on and communicate complex technical conceptsExperience reading and reviewing electrical schematics, preferredExperience with Rust, preferredExperience with lab equipment (power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, etc.), preferredFamiliar with communication protocols (CAN, LIN, UART, SPI, I2C, etc.), preferredExperience with continuous integration (Jenkins, TeamCity, etc.) and revision control (Git), preferredCompensation and BenefitsBenefits

$120,000 - $252,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
