We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Permanent Clinical Director for our medical facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of our clinical services department, ensuring the provision of high-quality medical care to our patients. They will be responsible for implementing policies, conducting medical research, and coordinating medical staff. This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in Optometry or a related field.

Responsibilities

As a Clinical Director, you will be responsible for:

  1. Overseeing the day-to-day management of the clinical services department, ensuring all operations are in line with the facility's goals and objectives.
  2. Developing and implementing clinical policies and procedures to enhance patient care.
  3. Coordinating and supervising the work of the medical staff, ensuring adherence to professional standards and ethical practices.
  4. Collaborating with other department heads to develop strategic plans for the facility's growth and improvement.
  5. Leading and participating in medical research projects, promoting and facilitating evidence-based practice.
  6. Ensuring compliance with healthcare laws and regulations, maintaining the facility's accreditation status.
  7. Implementing training programs for clinical staff to enhance their skills and competencies.
  8. Conducting performance evaluations, providing feedback, and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  9. Participating in budget development and monitoring, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  10. Liaising with external stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare providers, to ensure patient satisfaction and improve community relations.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, the candidate must possess the following:

  1. A Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited institution.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in Optometry or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  3. Valid license to practice Optometry.
  4. Proven experience in clinical management, including planning, budgeting, and staff supervision.
  5. Strong knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations, medical ethics, and patient rights.
  6. Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with different stakeholders.
  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
  9. Proficiency in using medical software for patient records, scheduling, and other administrative tasks.
  10. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
