CRNA (Certified Nurse Anesthetist) - Adult - Froedtert Hospital / Medical College of Wisconsin
The Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a Certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join its Adult Anesthesiology Division.
To administer and monitor General and Regional Anesthetics to patients at FMLH under the direction and supervision of staff Anesthesiologist of the Medical College of Wisconsin and the Director for Surgical Services and Anesthesia. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
Graduate of accredited School of Nursing is required. Graduate of accredited Nurse Anesthetist school is required.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:
Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). New hires and rehires after September 30, 2017, must possess, and maintain an active Wisconsin State Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber (APNP). Incumbents in the position prior to September 30, 2017, will be required to obtain the APNP License. Staff within the 5-year recent graduate window of eligibility to apply for the APNP license will have 3 months to obtain a WI APNP license. Staff outside of the 5-year window of eligibility to apply will have 1 year to complete the pharmacology requirements and obtain a WI APNP license. National Board of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) certification is required. Medicaid and Medicare (PECOS) enrollment is required. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) is required. American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required. American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is required within 90 days of hire.
