LCRA is hiring a Network Field Technician to join our team. As part of our Network Field team, you will be working with Routed Networks that traverse DWDM, Fiber Optic, and Microwave Radio transport systems. This role provides an opportunity to travel across Central Texas to various work sites with travel accommodations provided when necessary. You will be able to collaborate with a skilled team and provided valuable training through on-the-job experiences as well as formal training curriculum. You will be trusted to:

- Install advanced Fiber optic networks- Install advanced Microwave networks- Install Cutting-edge Routed networks including protocols-MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and ISIS.

You qualify with:

- Five or more years of experience in one or more of the following networking technologies: WAN - MPLS, LAN - Route/Switch, DWDM, RF/Microwave Radio, 700/900MHz Trunked Radio (LMR) and/or LTE technologies or other relevant experience. A bachelor's, associate degree in related field, or industry professional-level certification may be substituted for certain years of experience.- Driver's License

You are a great fit with:

- Networking Certification in Cisco, Nokia, Juniper, or equivalent such as CCNA, NRS1, JNCIA is highly preferred.- Degree(s) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other IT/Telecom related field.- Ciena DWDM Optical certification (OC-A), Aviat Network Associate (ANA)- Experience in Microwave RF, DWDM, Routing/Switching L1-L3, and LMR Land Mobile Radio/ trunked radio.- Depending on experience, the ability to obtain an associate-level certification within the first 12 months of employment may be a consideration.
