Come build, innovate, disrupt, and thrive!K?STA I.T is actively seeking a Senior QA Speciaist foran immediate contract engagement with our government client.Work Location: This position is RemoteJob Description:We are seeking a Vendor with extensive expertise in engineering, deploying, and maintaining large-scale public safety wireless LMR communication systems. The primary focus of this role is to provide quality assurance, quality control, and technical advisement for the deployment and maintenance of a statewide wireless information network. The ideal candidate will have significant experience managing large-scale communication projects and possess in-depth knowledge of wireless communication systems and networks.Responsibilities:•Provide quality assurance and quality control services for the deployment and maintenance of a public safety wireless communication network.•Offer technical advisement and recommendations for system improvements, maintenance, and troubleshooting.•Conduct system and component testing and acceptance services to ensure optimal performance.•Manage and oversee the deployment of large-scale public safety wireless communication systems, including system upgrades and expansions.•Perform in-depth analyses and implement corrective actions to resolve performance issues, especially in microwave path and network components.•Lead change management initiatives, accurately tracking and addressing project variances.•Ensure the proper design, licensing, deployment, and testing of Sonet and MPLS microwave networks, as well as Motorola digital trunked two-way radio systems.•Collaborate with stakeholders to meet the project's objectives and ensure the system operates within defined technical and quality parameters.Required Skills:•Extensive experience in the deployment and implementation of at least four large-scale LMR wireless communication systems (120+ sites) for statewide public safety projects.•Expertise in quality assurance and quality control services, as well as system and component testing for communication networks.•Proven experience with Motorola digital trunked two-way radio systems, P25 public safety networks, and 700 MHz narrow-band FDMA integrated voice and data networks.•In-depth knowledge of OTAR/OTAP technologies, MPLS network testing, and digital microwave systems.•Experience upgrading state-wide P25 700 MHz FDMA networks to P25 phase 2 TDMA networks.•Proficiency in the design, deployment, and testing of Sonet and MPLS-based microwave backhaul networks (100+ hops).•Strong skills in resolving microwave path performance issues and performing TDMA-to-MPLS network conversions.•Project Management certification (PMP or CPM) is required.•Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, and Project.•Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate with functional users and technical staff.Available Benefits:•Medical Benefits (Platinum level plans available)•Work from home / Hybrid / Onsite options•PTO•Holiday Pay•VTO•401K•Charitable Match•Training reimbursementAbout K?STA I.T.:Our name says it all; K?STA I.T.
