Come build, innovate, disrupt, and thrive!K?STA I.T is actively seeking a Quality Assurance Developer foran immediate contract engagement with our government client.Work Location: This position is HybridJob Description:Are you an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Specialist looking for a career-boosting opportunity? This role involves participating in a major system migration project for a mission-critical system, including migrating a large database, transitioning it to the cloud, reconnecting to the front-end application, segregating modules, and establishing microservices.As the QA Specialist, you will design and implement methods, tools, and processes for multi-tiered testing activities. These include database structure, data transfer, application code, screen integrity, functionality, performance, authentication, security, user acceptance, and regression testing. You'll be responsible for integrating this testing function into the project management workflow, collaborating with developers, database administrators, and subject matter experts, and providing detailed documentation and reporting.Responsibilities:•Design and establish quality assurance testing activities, identifying testing targets, defining test criteria, and determining testing approaches.•Select and use automated and manual testing tools for different test targets (e.g., database structure, data transfer, screen functionality, security, etc.).•Investigate, recommend, and operate automated testing tools, running comparisons and configuring them for project use.•Collaborate with project teams, participate in planning sessions, and ensure testing activities are aligned with project timelines.•Execute target area testing using tracking software, documenting results, and addressing issues found in testing.•Prepare detailed reports on failed tests and ensure passed products move to the next project phase.Required Skills:•Strong knowledge of computer science principles and application development concepts.•Experience with databases, automated software applications, and data analysis.•Proficiency in project management methodologies, testing tools, and processes.•Ability to design and implement test plans, scenarios, and procedures.•Experience with testing for functionality, security, performance, and user acceptance.•Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines.•Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to work effectively in a team.Available Benefits:•Medical Benefits (Platinum level plans available)•Work from home / Hybrid / Onsite options•PTO•Holiday Pay•VTO•401K•Charitable Match•Training reimbursementAbout K?STA I.T.:Our name says it all; K?STA I.T.
