Seeking an experienced SQL Server DBA with 9+ years of relevant experience to manage and optimize Microsoft SQL Server environments, including VM-based servers. The role focuses on ensuring best practices in database planning, design, performance, and capacity management.Key Responsibilities:Manage SQL Server databases, ensuring high reliability and performance.Provide DBA support in a multi-datacenter, distributed server environment.Monitor SQL performance, analyze problems, and implement solutions.Offer technical support on SQL design and programming to development teams.Plan and coordinate SQL Server releases, migrations, upgrades, and maintenance.Collaborate with network, IIS admins, and storage teams for SQL configurations.Develop technical documents, project plans, and engage with customers.Provide non-production/production support, deploy code, and troubleshoot application issues.Support and maintain DevOps tools (e.g., Ansible, Jenkins, Bitbucket, etc.).Lead technical meetings on design, implementation, and maintenance.Manage SQL clusters, load balancing, log shipping, and replication.Drive innovation and automation in database management.Lead incident resolution and manage database capacity planning.Ensure compliance and implement risk management controls.Conduct research on database technologies and provide recommendations.Mandatory Skills:Proven experience managing MS SQL Server environments.Strong expertise in SQL Server database administration.
