This position is within the Network and Data Infrastructure of the Information Services Division. This position's primary function will be overall responsibility for the network and connectivity of the enterprise network systems and services. Responsibilities include design, administration, troubleshooting, implementation, monitoring, patching and upkeep for the various Data Center, LAN and WAN environments. Project involvement and coordination, including verbal and written communication with business customers and stakeholders is also required. Must be able to work with diverse teams and possess teaching ability to enhance knowledge within those teams. Will be a key member on strategic or enterprise-wide technology projects or issues.

*This position will be hired at the System Administrator or Senior System Administrator level.

** This position is eligible to work hybrid (9 or more days a month onsite) in accordance with our Telecommuting Policy. Applicants must reside in Kansas or Missouri or be willing to relocate as a condition of employment.

$89,200 - $122,000

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas offers excellent competitive compensation with the goal of retaining and growing talented team members. The salary range for this role is a good faith estimate, it is estimated based on what a successful candidate might be paid. Perform day-to-day monitoring, upkeep and administration functions to ensure reliable, robust and secure operations of the network environment.Design and deployment of LAN, WAN and wireless technologies, including switches, routers, UPS's, AP's and other hardware.Assessing near-and long-term capacity needs.Evaluates new technologies and develops departmental standard practices.Development and upkeep of various network documentation and diagrams.Performing analysis of business requirements and impact analysis to infrastructure.Project Management Practices (PMP) required for projects and activities.Communicate and coordinate objectives and activities with various stakeholders throughout the organization.What you need

High school diploma/GED requited. Bachelor Degree or completion of a Computer Science Program from a Technical Trade School is preferred.Minimum of five years' experience in I.T. infrastructure and/or application development is required.Must have proven successful project management skills.Must have successfully managed assigned technology by performing regular and critical maintenance tasks within defined service levels.Bonus if you have
