AP Accountant

Location: Casual, Flexible Work Environment in Boulder, CO with Remote Options

Our client, a long-standing non-profit dedicated to preserving and promoting human rights, is seeking a full-time AP Accountant to join their team. This role is essential to maintaining the organization's financial health by ensuring accurate and timely accounts payable processes. The AP Accountant will work in a flexible, casual environment with a new office space, and the opportunity to work remotely. The ideal candidate values honesty, professional communication, and can work both independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full-cycle AP processing, including a high volume of invoice processing with complex coding
• Weekly check runs and timely retrieval and processing of invoices from multiple sources
• Month-end reporting, including preparation of Journal Entries
• The AP Accountant will collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper coding and timely payments
• Reconciliation of vendor accounts and management of AP aging reports
• The AP Accountant will be expected to assist with system conversions and upgrades when necessary

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in full-cycle AP processing with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
• Strong attention to detail, particularly with coding and data entry
• Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of invoices
• The AP Accountant must have experience with month-end close and Journal Entry preparation
• Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite experience is a plus)
• System conversion experience is highly valued
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• The AP Accountant must be comfortable in a flexible, mission-driven environment
• The role is full-time, Monday-Friday, in a casual and collaborative atmosphere with the flexibility to work remotely
