Job DetailsResponsibilities:
As a Permanent Associate Attorney (General Liability), you will be expected to perform a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Represent clients in all aspects of general liability litigation, including auto insurance disputes, discovery proceedings, motion hearings, depositions, and court appearances.
- Analyze and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations with probable case outcomes for individuals and businesses.
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, contracts, and other necessary legal paperwork.
- Conduct and coordinate research into a variety of legal issues.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients, ensuring that their rights are protected and that they are fully informed of their legal options.
- Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in an effort to resolve matters as efficiently and effectively as possible.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and judges.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in the law to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Associate Attorney (General Liability) position will possess the following qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- A minimum of 1-5 years of experience as an attorney, with a focus on general liability.
- Active member of the State Bar in good standing.
- Extensive experience with auto insurance, discovery, motions, depositions, and court appearances.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and persuasive manner.
