Position Overview:
The Director of Finance will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of a luxury resort hotel. This includes overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning. The role is crucial for guiding the hotel's financial strategy, optimizing profitability, and working with department heads to ensure operational efficiency and support growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Strategy & Planning
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to align with business objectives.
- Maximizing Revenue & Profit
- Analyze revenue streams, identify growth opportunities, and collaborate with leadership to drive financial success.
- Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, manage audits, and assess financial risks.
- Leadership & Development
- Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
- Cash Flow & Treasury
- Oversee cash flow and maintain strong relationships with banking institutions.
- Cost Management
- Monitor expenses and implement strategies to reduce costs without affecting quality.
- Capital Projects & Asset Management
- Provide financial insights on capital projects and manage the hotel's assets.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- Extensive experience in hotel/resort financial management, budgeting, and compliance (GAAP/IFRS).
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
