Classification Title:Business Intelligence Analyst
Job DescriptionThis position, part of the CFO's Office Finance Strategy & Analytics team, conducts data analytics projects to provide information and insights to stakeholders for decision-making or solution development.
The incumbent will implement data standards and deploy automation tools to extract, synthesize, and validate data from different sources to transform financial and operational data into usable metrics. Interfaces with multiple data sources and constructs data sets using scripting and querying tools like Python, R or SQL, data visualization/business intelligence tools, statistical methods, and data modeling to produce reports, data files and dashboards. The incumbent plays a crucial role in harnessing data to inform decision- making, analyzing trends, developing business intelligence tools and dashboards and aligning intelligence efforts with strategic goals.
Expected Salary:$75,000 - $85,000
Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in appropriate area of specialization and five years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and turn it into actionable insights, as well as strong communication skills to convey these insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience working in a business intelligence role, with demonstrated proficiency in Tableau Desktop Developer, Data Prep, and Server, Power BI, and Microsoft Office 365.
Proficiency in statistical programming with R and/or Python, with experience applying these skills to large datasets.
Experience in designing and implementing BI solutions, data modeling, and developing dashboards that enhance decision-making processes.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects. Ability to complete work and meet established deadlines in an accurate and timely manner, and to manage short and competing deadlines.
Strong ability to think creatively and independently on concepts requiring advanced analytical and visionary skills.
Demonstrated attention to detail to ensure proper and consistent formatting of BI solutions.
