TICU RN position available.Department: Trauma ICU.# of Beds: 18.Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:1-2 ICU, 1:4 PCU.Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults and Peds >15 years old. Various Trauma injuries, Sepsis, stroke, ARDS, MODS, COPD, cardiac arrest.Job Requirements
ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications required.RNs required to titrate drips.Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, antiarrhythmics.RNs need to be able to read and interpret tele monitors.Schedule Information
Shifts & Scheduling: 0630-1830, 1830-0630, self-scheduling, managed by manager based on unit needs.Weekend Requirements: 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period.Floating Requirements: All over to the inpatient units, excluding Maternity/NICU.Unit Specific Information
Nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit: Ratios? Duties: Yes- 1:18.RT Equipment: Nasal cannula to vents, RNs required to troubleshoot.Charge Nurse on each shift: Yes.Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit: No techs, Draeger heart monitoring with centralized telemetry monitoring.Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy Blue.How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 2 shifts.Additional Details
Fast paced unit with critically ill patients.Attributes that help a nurse be successful on this unit include critical thinking skills, personable, positive attitude, team player.Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
