Salary: $120,000 - $170,000 per year

Key Responsibilities and Core Duties:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of operational accounting, including revenue management, joint interest billing (JIB), and accounts payable, ensuring close coordination with financial accounting.
• Supervise the preparation and submission of sales and use tax filings.
• Support the accurate and timely creation of financial reports, statements, and analyses for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Establish, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Work closely with operations teams, offering financial insights to aid in decision-making for capital investments, cost control, and operational performance improvements.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis tied to operational revenues and expenditures.
• Review and assess operational financial data to spot trends, risks, and opportunities, providing recommendations for enhancements.
• Act as a primary liaison during internal and external audits, supplying necessary documentation, explanations, and assistance.
• Provide ad hoc financial reporting and analysis support as needed for internal teams.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years oil and gas accounting
• BOLO, Open Invoice
• Bachelors in Finance or Accounting
• Upstream Oil and Gas experience required
