We are currently seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dynamic Permanent Director of Social Services to join our team in the medical industry. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead and develop a team of social service professionals in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of social services programs, providing strategic leadership, and ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide strategic direction and leadership to the social services department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered services.
  2. Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  3. Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance management of social services staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for patients.
  5. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of social services programs, making necessary adjustments to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  6. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to social services in the medical industry.
  7. Advocate for patients' rights and needs, ensuring they are fully informed and supported throughout their healthcare journey.
  8. Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring the efficient use of resources.
  9. Foster strong relationships with community organizations and stakeholders to enhance the delivery of social services.
  10. Stay abreast of the latest developments in the field of social services, implementing innovative strategies to enhance patient care.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Director of Social Services or in a similar leadership role in the medical industry.
  2. Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  3. Licensed to practice as a social worker in the state.
  4. Proven experience in developing and implementing social services programs in a healthcare setting.
  5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  6. In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to social services in the medical industry.
  7. Strong understanding of patient rights and advocacy principles.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, staff, and community stakeholders.
  9. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  10. Proficient in the use of electronic medical records and other healthcare IT systems.
