Job Details

If you are an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer, please read on. This is an exciting opportunity to join a newer team with a growing SoCal headquartered company.

This is a highly independent, senior-level, project leadership opportunity to make a a big impact!

Your mission? >>> Drive supplier quality and OTD improvement.

  • Lead root cause analysis to reduce supplier non-conformities.
  • Review and approve First Article Inspection reports
  • Manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests.
  • Conduct Purchase Order review, flow-down requirements to suppliers.
  • Participate on Material Review Board (MRB) and Configuration Control Board (CCB) processes.
  • Develop process flow charts/diagrams and Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
  • Work with suppliers to create statistically valid control plans for manufacturing processes.
  • Use lean and six sigma tools to drive process and product variation reduction.
  • Conduct and participate in the internal and external quality system, process, and product verification audits.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prior experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer or related SC/Quality improvements.
  • Experience with raw materials, manufacturing, and quality inspection processes for machining, heat treating, anodizing, painting, NDT, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems/Specifications (AS9100, Nadcap, ISO 9001)
  • Demonstrated ability to create and implement statistically valid control plans and audit plans
  • Ability to create and/or review failure analysis reports and perform dimensional tolerance stack up analyses.
  • Experience in industrialization processes such as PPAP, PVI (DVI) with FAI per AS9102
  • The ability to travel locally up to 20% and domestically up to 10%
