Oct 22, 2024Full Time80382BRJob SummaryThe Interventional Cardiology NP (inpatient and outpatient) has clinical, procedural, administrative and educational responsibilities in the care of patients requiring medical management of general cardiology, procedures related to the care and coordination of chronic care management of general cardiology diagnoses. Responsibilities will include patient examination and assessment, diagnosis and planning; treatment implementation, coordination and continuity; performance of specific procedures; development of practice protocols and evaluation of quality of care; education of patients, families and other health care practitioners.The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.The salary range for this position is $95.69 - $124.10 (Hourly Rate).Required QualificationsMinimum three (3) years related experience as a Nurse Practitioner.Minimum two (2) years Ambulatory Cardiology experience or a combination of Ambulatory and Inpatient Cardiology experience.Minimum two (2) years NP experience in related heart and vascular services (i.e., interventional cardiology, valve and structural heart, cardiac surgery).Flexibility to work with various schedules as required.Flexibility to orient and work at multiple clinic locations and UCSF campuses.Preferred QualificationsMinimum one (1) year NP experience in General Cardiology or Cardiology Sub-Specialty in an Ambulatory setting.Minimum of one (1) year of cardiology procedural pre/post experience.Minimum of one (1) year Interventional Cardiology experience.License/CertificationCalifornia driver's license (CDL) if required for position.Current national certification from an accepted certifying agency and provide by first day of work.

Current and active RN and NP and Furnishing license in California.Complete a BRN recognized graduate master's degree program as a Nurse Practitioner.Obtain an active and/or transferable DEA license to California and provide evidence by 90th day of clinical practice.Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through credentialing by first clinical day.
