Nurse Practitioner Acute CardiologyAdvanced Practice Provider - CardiologyFull TimeJob SummaryThe Inpatient Acute Care Cardiology Advanced Health Practitioner has clinical, procedural, administrative, and educational responsibilities in the care of patients requiring cardiac care. Under the supervision of the Chief of Cardiology and the Heart & Vascular Manager for Inpatient Cardiology Advanced Practice Providers and the Director of Advanced Practice Nursing, the Cardiology Nurse Practitioner will have a critical role in the inpatient setting, with both team member and individual duties.The salary range for this position is $95.69 - $124.10 (Hourly Rate).Required QualificationsNurse Practitioner IComplete clinical rotation with inpatient general cardiology APP team in addition to having a minimum of 2 years of prior cardiac ICU RN experience managing complex cardiac patients.Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations and in varying schedules as outlined.Nurse Practitioner IIA minimum of one (1) year of adult cardiology inpatient and/or outpatient care experience as a nurse practitioner or completion of an NP acute or critical care fellowship.Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations and in varying schedules as outlined.Preferred QualificationsPrior experience with cardiac ultrasound.Recent experience managing moderate to advanced heart failure patients.Work experience as Nurse Practitioner in a high volume academic center.License/CertificationCalifornia driver's license (CDL) if required for position.Current national certification from an accepted certifying agency and provide by first day of work.Current and active RN and NP and Furnishing license in California.Complete a BRN recognized graduate master's degree program as a Nurse Practitioner.Obtain an active and/or transferable DEA license to California and provide evidence by 90th day of clinical practice.Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through credentialing by first clinical day.Current AHA BLS.Current AHA ACLS.State regulation requires that you have a supervising physician to practice.Incumbents with less than 6 months of NP experience will be hired as a Nurse Practitioner 1.About UCSFAt UCSF Health, our mission of innovative patient care, advanced technology and pioneering research is redefining what's possible for the patients we serve.
