We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager for our Construction division. This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving team and spearhead projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing, coordinating, and exercising functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of projects within the area of assigned responsibility. This role requires a blend of skills and experience that are specifically focused on commercial electric work.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
- Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within the boundaries of company policy.
- Initiate and maintain liaison with owners and other contacts to facilitate project activities.
- Monitor and control project through administrative direction to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget.
- Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
- Represent the company in project meetings and attend strategy meetings.
- Work with contract administrators to manage financial aspects of contracts to protect the company's interest while maintaining a good relationship with the client.
- Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients.
- Forecast, analyze, and report on the financial and operational impact of changes in scope and project risk.
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
Qualifications:
- Excellent time and project management skills.
- At least 3 years of experience in a project management role, specifically within the construction industry.
- Proficient knowledge of construction, electrical, and electric work.
- Strong understanding of construction operations and processes.
- Proven ability to manage all aspects of a construction project, including meeting project deadlines, overseeing contractors, and managing project budgets.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Ability to plan and see the “big picture”.
- Competent in conflict and crisis management.
