Project Accountant II

Job Description: Insight Global is looking for a Project Accountant to work for a large engineering company in Charlotte, NC. The Accountant will be tasked with client invoicing relating to the Engineering Industry. This role will involve some Accounts Payable processing, meetings with project managers, and other team members as well to make sure that client invoices are complete and correct.
Responsibilities:Work autonomously on client invoicing, collections management and project budgeting
Code and process accounts payable, work confirmations, charitable contributions, P-Card charges, etc.
Accurately comprehend, administer, and maintain contract documentation, including fee and budget entry
Work with section and project personnel to provide timely contract performance data and resolve financial issues
Coordinate the project accounting system within the department and work with technical staff to ensure compliance with contractual requirements
Assist multiple project managers and staff daily
Mentor junior project accountants as needed
Perform other duties as needed

Required Skills & Experience
Associate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience A minimum of 5 years of experience; an advanced degree may offset years of experience Familiar with Earned Value Management5 years experience with invoicing for A&E (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industryExcellent verbal and written communication including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling, and telephone skillsFlexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and collaborate with various managers in a fast-paced environmentSelf-motivated, well-organized, and detail-oriented Ability to handle confidential informationProficiency with MS Office including Excel, Word, and OutlookAn altitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
