Position Overview: IT Specialist
We are on the lookout for a
dynamic IT Specialist
with a passion for customer service, a strong foundation in supporting Microsoft and Apple laptops, and familiarity with Google Workspace tools. The ideal candidate is a curious problem-solver with a natural enthusiasm for learning new technologies and enhancing systems. Responsibilities and Duties:
Customer Support:Provide first-line technical support for Microsoft and Apple laptops.Manage IT tickets, prioritize issues, and escalate as needed.Device Management:
Configure and maintain laptops (Windows/macOS).Install software, updates, and perform regular maintenance.Google Workspace Administration:
Support users with Gmail, Drive, and Calendar issues.Manage user accounts, permissions, and access.Network & Connectivity Support:
Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN, and remote connectivity issues.Collaborate with network teams to ensure smooth operations.Training & Documentation:
Create guides and provide training for common technical tasks.Keep documentation up-to-date with new tools and processes.Technology Exploration:
Identify new tools to improve operations and user experience.Propose solutions based on tech trends or personal projects.Security & Compliance:
Ensure devices meet security standards and policies.Monitor and report recurring issues for continuous improvement.Required Education:
Bachelor's in Computer Science/ Technology or related field or equivalent experience.
Required Skills:
Strong customer service skills with the ability to simplify technical jargon for end-users.Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft (Windows OS) and Apple (macOS) laptops, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.Experience with Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Drive, Calendar) and basic administrative tasks.Ability to troubleshoot and support common networking issues (VPNs, Wi-Fi setups, etc.).A quick learner who's motivated by curiosity and a passion for technology.Bonus:
Experience managing a home network or personal tech projects (DIY networking, Raspberry Pi, etc.).Familiarity with mobile devices (iOS, Android) and integration into work environments is a plus.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Required Experience:
Proven experience in endpoint management, MDM administration, and troubleshooting.Other Requirements:
