Your Role

The Production Inventory Control Accountant is responsible for managing Beauty and Home owned inventory at vendor manufacturing facilities and completing physical inventory reconciliations related to those specific vendors. Individual is also responsible for ensuring all vendor transactions are properly processed in SAP (i.e. receipts, production, shrink, damages, etc.) as well as monthly journal entries and ad-hoc reporting. Opportunity to travel 3-4 times per year.

Your Impact

Work with vendors to resolve unprocessed receipts, production or shipmentsTransact inventory differences resulting from reconciliations.Ensure damaged/rejected items at suppliers are properly recorded in SAPCommunicate disposal schedules to vendors; track and transact adjustments accordinglyIdentify Excess & Obsolete (E&O) reserved items during PI/B2B and account for inventory accordinglyResearch and resolve aged vendor metric issues (MRBR, GR/IR, Failed IDOCs)Partner with vendors to ensure adequate cut-offs and reporting for PI/B2BsResolve blocked invoice issues to ensure vendors are paid within payment termsPartner with AP to resolve invoice pricing discrepanciesPost transactions in SAP for non-portal vendorsComplete vendor statement reconciliations to resolve managed vendor issuesPrepare GR/IR, MRBR and In Transit metrics for weekly team meetingsCommunicate status of aged blocked invoices, GR/IR, In Transit and current PI/B2B reconciliations for assigned vendorsConduct meeting with vendor prior to physical inventory to ensure understanding and compliance to all reconciliation requirementsMonthly blackbook meeting to report balance sheet variances to upper managementClick here for benefit details related to this position.

Your Experience

Minimum of one-year experience in accounting and/or finance operations, preferably with a company with annual volume in excess of $100MMExperience in journal entry preparation, auditing and balance sheet reconciliation preferredAdvanced PC skills, Excel and WordExcellent customer service skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong problem-solving skillsProven organizational skillsRelevant SAP experience a plusBachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferredAdvanced degree or CPA a plus
