We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position where you will play an integral role in our company's financial operations. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned. The successful candidate will also have exceptional analytical skills, and a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who thrives in a busy workspace and is well-versed in working closely with senior management.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial statements in time and accurately for monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
  • Oversee ledger reconciliation and manage accounts payable/receivable.
  • Comply with all financial regulations and principles.
  • Conduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments.
  • Analyze financial trends and forecast company's financial performance.
  • Develop strategies to improve or maintain the financial health of the organization.
  • Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities.
  • Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
  • Develop systems to improve and maintain the financial health of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting or related field.
  • Professional certification (such as CPA) is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, databases and financial analysis tools.
  • Exceptional knowledge of risk analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
  • Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.
