As an Assistant Controller, you will be responsible for managing financial activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and contributing to the development of financial strategies. This role requires a strong understanding of financial reporting, general ledger, financial accounting, and financial statements. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role and will have a proven track record of success in the finance industry.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes. Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements. Coordinate activities of external auditors. Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and year-end close process. Continually monitor accounting policies, procedures, reserves, and estimates for compliance with GAAP. Manage the financial reporting calendar to ensure all required reports are submitted on time. Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner. Assist the Controller in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members. Participate in corporate policy development as a member of the senior management team. Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions. Support the Controller in developing and implementing financial strategies in alignment with company goals.Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or CPA is highly preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger, financial accounting, and financial statements. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Be able to demonstrate attention to details and good-record-keeping. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, especially Excel). Hands-on detail-oriented tasks. Team player and can collaborate with other teams in the organization. High level of interpersonal skills with demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy. Excellent communication and leadership skills are mandatory.
