Do you love all things IT? Do you enjoy helping people? Do you have a passion for making a difference in your community? Lake Sunapee Region VNA is looking for an IT Coordinator to support staff as they care for patients in the community setting.
The Information Technology Coordinator is responsible for the management and implementation of the technology infrastructure for the Agency. These functions include but are not limited to management of information systems, security, updating systems, and supporting and educating staff in the use of both hardware and software. Maintains workstations, iPads, iPhones, peripherals, internal and external software programs, network files and security, servers, and generates reports as requested. This position also works with external vendors for outside support of telecommunications, servers, and electronic medical record software.
This position is an in-house position, Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm. Salary commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities of the IT Coordinator:
Assure the proper functioning of the computer network, assessing and troubleshooting problems, consulting with hardware, software representatives, and outside IT vendors when necessary, installing software, and assuring/providing regular maintenance of the workstations, laptops/iPads, and printersInstall and configure hardware/software on new and existing computer systemsEnsure updates are applied in a manner that promotes availability, reliability and sustainabilityCreate/generate specific reports as requested especially for statistical analysisServe as Security Officer to assure compliance with HIPAA regulationsMaintain the telecommunication system, working with vendors to assure proper functioning and cost effectivenessPerforms end user troubleshooting and maintenance of the systemKeeps system configuration and phone list documentation currentDevelop training standards for computer, telecommunications and security systems and assures their implementationProvide ongoing training of staff, offering advice and assistance on how to use software and complete projects most efficiently within the scope of current hardware/software availabilityResearch new computer software/hardware to keep current with advancing technology and to assure efficient agency operationsParticipate in equipment selection, prepares the necessary data for bids/proposals and coordinates installationWork with staff and management to assure an efficient flow of paperwork/electronic data throughout the agencyResponsible for IT Help Desk itemsPrincipal on-call agent for IT related issues with backup providedParticipate in meetings and on committees as neededEngage in respectful communication (both verbal and written) with team members, patients, family members, and the communityAdhere to agency wide policiesOther duties as assignedQualifications of the IT Coordinator:
Technical degree or certification, or relevant number of years' experience, requiredHealthcare IT experience preferredRequired experience in Microsoft systems and Network administrationExcellent communication skills necessary (verbal and written)Requirements of the IT Coordinator:
