Job Title: Registered Nurse - PACU Job Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required. ICU experience is accepted for Endo PACU contracts. Must have 1 prior travel assignment. License: Must have a valid state license. For certain locations, a pending license is accepted for specific units. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: - Telemetry and Vent skills- Flu vaccine required with no exemptions- Ability to float within the Pre & Post-op Department as per competency Job Description: - Ensure high-quality care for patients recovering from anesthesia- Adhere to policies and protocols for safe patient care- Work collaboratively with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records- Provide education and support to patients and their families- Adapt to a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations with ease- Comply with dress code: All colors and patterns of scrubs are acceptable, with two sets of periwinkle OR scrubs available but optional- Complete required modules, which could be an average of 12 hours, some are pre-start and during orientation. Note: Orientation consists of 28 hours, with 50% as non-billable training. Limited Requests for Time Off (RTO) apply, only 3 days within a contract and up to 7 days between contracts. A flu vaccine is required for all employees with no exemptions allowed.
