As a vital team member, you'll take the lead in monitoring projects, financial expenditures, and timelines while tracking the performance of initiatives that will make a real impact on Cumberland County. Under the mentorship of our Chief of Staff, your work will be evaluated through real-time observations, retrospective analysis, and a thorough review of your reports and documentation. If you're looking to be a driving force behind transformative projects, this is the opportunity you've been waiting for Examples of Duties Coordinate technical and strategic assistance with projects developed for ARPA Local Fiscal Relief Funds and freed-up capacity general funds Monitor projects to ensure compliance with all federal, state, local laws, policies, and ordinances Work with stakeholders and contractors to identify issues and provide recommendations for solutions Monitor expenditures for multiple projects to ensure funding is used in compliance with established guidelines and that projects are implemented and completed in the most efficient manner to avoid overspending Lead and/or assist with public outreach efforts to develop community support and identify community need Minimum Qualifications Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major/degree in business or public administration, accounting, or related field and three (3) years of experience in government accounting; or equivalent education and experience. Management Preference: Experience with federal grants and/or American Rescue Plan funds. Negative drug screen and background check are required.
