Position Title: Sr. Human Resources Generalist
Department:
Willamette HR
Reports To: HR Director - West Region
FLSA Status: Exempt; Salary
Job Summary:
The Sr. HR Generalist will work closely with management to ensure all facets of our HR strategy are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner. The HR Generalist will also provide a variety of complex, routine, and administrative services in support of departmental and operational goals. This role will not only collaborate with the department in various projects and data maintenance, but also support employees of the company through various employee engagement, employee well-being, and employee relations initiatives. This person will be responsible for coaching/mentoring employees, as well as serving as a liaison between the company and employee. Other duties will include the following:
Essential Job Functions:
Be a thought leader with 5+ year of leadership experience.Promote a positive work culture by fostering open communication, employee recognition, and employee engagement initiatives.Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that align with the organization's business goals and long-term vision.Guide employees regarding company policies, values, HR programs (benefits, pay and salary) administration and interpretation to ensure policies and procedures are handled consistently and promptly.Consults legal counsel as needed to ensure that policies comply with federal, state, and local law.Contracts with outside suppliers to provide employee services as needed.Develops and maintains a HRIS that meets management information needs.Coordinates management and leadership training for personal and organizational developmentAdvise and assist managers in providing constructive feedback, coaching, and performance improvement plans when necessary.Mediate and resolve employee relations issues, grievances, and conflicts while ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.Track and analyze HR metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of HR initiatives and identify areas for improvement.Powerful and confident communication skills with the ability to effectively present to all levels of the organizationOversees the recruitment process to ensure timely interviewing, employment testing, and selection of employees to fill vacant positions.Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies or other departments in the organization to ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are complying (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO and FLSA)Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field experience in lieu of a degree3-5 years HR experience preferred.Active PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.Experience with ADP preferred.High level of current knowledge of human resources practices, laws, and processes. Understanding of personnel practices applied within an agricultural industry environment; codes, regulations laws; understanding of state federal laws and regulations.Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Proficient with MS Office Suite.Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems.Considerable skill in interviewing techniquesRequired - Candidate MUST be fluent in Spanish.Ability to travel up to 20%
