The Human Resources Generalist supports various functions within the HR department, ensuring smooth operation of HR services, policies, and programs. This position plays a key role in overseeing employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and performance management, while providing essential HR support across the organization.

Here is what you can do for Wabash Center as our HR Generalist:

- Serve as a point of contact for employee relations, addressing inquiries and resolving HR issues- Oversee benefits administration, including open enrollment, eligibility tracking, and employee communications- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies- Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality- Oversee accurate data entry into HRIS (APS) including personnel records, payroll and benefits administration- Administer and maintain HR policies and procedures across the organization- Provide coverage and general support to the HR department as needed

- Provide leadership and oversite to Wabash Center's Wellness Program

Work hours will be 8am - 5pm, Monday through Friday

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

- 2-4 years of experience in a human resources generalist role, prefereably in a non-profit or social services organization.

- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred

- Strong knowledge of employment laws, excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills

- Proficiency in HRIS software

- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
