JOB PURPOSE:
Supports overall admissions operations including office systems, admissions database (UNITE, WORKDAY, etc.) and managing office
technology, recruitment initiatives, analyzing statistical data, and conducts pre- and post-admission outreach activities.
SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY:
Involves no responsibility or authority for the direction of others. Reports to the Dean of Admissions, Dean Simmons.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
Internal contacts include administrators, students, faculty, and staff of the department and University. External contacts include student applicants, vendors, visitors and the general public.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Displays proficiency using standard office equipment such as computers photocopier, fax, scanner, etc. Ability to adapt to new technology and acquire new technical skills.Maintain electronic applicant files and track all applications through the cycle. Utilize online and computer-based technology to communicate and exchange data with the Law School Admission Council and to the School of Law RegistrarKnowledge of procurement, requisitioning, purchasing, shipping, storing, distributing materials and supplies for material inventory storage.Ability to adapt and demonstrate flexibility and a positive demeanor in a fast-paced work environment.Follows publications to ensure best price and product and to develop other sources of supply.Assist in the administration of recruiting, outreach and yield for all aspects of the JD program.Provide front desk support and act as initial point of contact from inquiry through enrollment for prospective students. Responsible for administrative duties related to the office, including daily processing, maintaining inventory of office supplies and admission materials, processing mail and troubleshooting issues related to office equipment.Interact with prospective students, route emails and phone calls to the appropriate staff member when needed.Respond to and process prospect inquiries. Assist prospective students with general questions about the application process and admission requirements. Assist with prospective student virtual and on-campus visits.Assist with organization of virtual and off-campus recruitment events, recordings and management of participant data.Manage shipment of recruiting materials in conjunction with the Assistant Director of Admissions.Assist with coordination of logistics for virtual or on-campus admission events.Participate in virtual or on-campus recruitment and yield events as needed.Aid with maintaining work schedules and general oversight of work of student workers.Perform other duties as assigned.Some Travel RequiredMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree preferred and two years' experience in an administrative role or any equivalent combination of three years education and experience in admissions, recruitment and/or administration.Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.Must have a valid drivers license.
Compliance Salary Range Disclosure
Expected Pay Range: $55,000 - $60,000
