Our Client, a Business Manufacturing And Supply company, is looking for a Financial Analyst III for their Bedford, MA location.
Responsibilities:Direct and develop the plant finance staff, coach talent to support talent management initiativesClose the financial books monthly, analyze actual results, support and review period financial reports and ledgers, and publish plant period reportEnsure timely and accurate completion of accounting activities, including fixed asset management, inventory valuation, product costing, period reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and overall asset and liability controlPrepare annual budget and business forecasts, and analyze and seek approval for capital investments with return metrices (ROI, IRR & Payback)Proactively identify cost problems, use appropriate analysis drive to root cause, drive problem resolution, and development of effective solutionsMaintain internal control systems and ensure compliance to local regulations, Sarbanes Oxley requirements, US GAAP, and Corporate Accounting Policies, and participate as a leader in setting and managing the direction of the plant as well as support tax and insurance filingsDrive process improvements within the finance function: document existing processes (SOP's) and seek improvement opportunities to reduce complexityConsolidate Monthly forecasts and results- provide insight and analyticsProvide support with division cash based costing, ad hoc project support, and AR review as necessaryComplete weekly and monthly consolidated reporting requirementsProvide Journal and reconciliation support for the divisionAssist in researching transactional and system issues across the division to find systematic solutions.
Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skillsCost modeling, inventory control and management, capital investment management, and manufacturing variance analysis and reportingSolid understanding of GAAP, cost modeling, inventory control and management, capital investment management, and manufacturing variance analysis and reportingSelf-directing and able to act with objectivityAble to manage through ambiguity and perform in fast past environment, proven ability to embrace and drive change, and ability to test decisions and provide alternative recommendationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or equivalent technical degree requiredMBA/CPA Preferred5+ years of manufacturing or relevant experience, controller experience preferredProficiency in Excel / PowerPoint, general ledger systems, forecasting toolsPeopleSoft, SAP, Khalix, and Performance Excellence knowledge (Six Sigma, lean processes) preferred.
