BDate Available:2024-2025Additional Information: Show/HidePrimary Purpose:Monitor and audit district data in addition to coordinating the collection and reporting of district Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) data for required admissions.Qualifications:Education/Certification:High school diploma or GEDSpecial Knowledge/Skills:Ability to maintain accurate and auditable recordsAbility to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing.Understanding of grading, report cardsUnderstanding of attendance and discipline lawsUnderstanding of state and local regulations and guidelines including PEIMS, Student Attendance Accounting Handbook, and other state laws and regulations regarding student dataProficient keyboarding and file maintenance skillsAbility to meet established deadlinesAbility to develop training materials and train staffAbility to troubleshoot problem in application software and coding issuesAbility to build reports using variety of tools including SIS, Excel, etc.Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsExperience:Three or more years' experience using a student management systemExperience configuring and maintaining a Student Managing System is preferredExperience with Skyward, TREx, On Data Suite, TSDS, and Excel preferredMajor Responsibilities and Duties:Records and Reports* Stay up to date on current laws and TEA rules regarding PEIMS, attendance, enrollment, grading, discipline, etc. In order to assist campus staff, perform audits and assist with state reporting requirements by attending training evens, webinars-, and reading materials provided by TEA.* Assist in the collection, integration, and formatting of all data required for PEIMS submission according to PEIMS Data Standards.* Work cooperatively with campus, business office, and personnel office staff to collect, organize, and format data required to submit district PEIMS data in a timely manner.* Run edits, reports, and verification checks on data to ensure accuracy of information.* Assist district and campus staff with the implementation of processes and procedures to ensure accuracy of data and compliance with laws and regulations.* Distribute edits and reports to appropriate staff for analysis, verification, and correction.* Submit complete and accurate PEIMS data in Texas Education Agency (TEA)-prescribed format to education service center (ESC) for processing using computer terminal or personal computer.* Verify data submitted to TEA and submit corrections in a timely manner.* Support campus regarding coding and student leavers, movers, and withdrawals.* Provide district report to central administrators as needed.* Maintain software such as OnDataSuite, etc.* Audit district data report.* Review reports and coding for PEIMS submissions and assist with the resolution of errors.* Write documentation and training materials.* Conduct training with staff.* Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policies.* Other duties as assigned.Training and Technical Support* Provide training and support to campuses and to business and personnel office staff responsible for processing PEIMS data.* Receive PEIMS-related information from ESC and TEA and disseminate to other staff in a timely manner, including updates to PEIMS Data Standards.* Attend all regional PEIMS workshops and disseminate information to appropriate staff.Other* Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy.* Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents required.* Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.* Participate in staff meetings and special events as assigned.* Maintain confidentiality.* Be punctual in all areas.* Be a positive role model for all students.* Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.Supervisory Responsibilities:NoneEquipment Used:Personal computer, printer, calculator, fax machine, and copier.Working Conditions:Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:Maintain emotional control under stress.
