PRIMARY PURPOSE:
To provide technical assistance, including training and help desk related to PEIMS and other user-related problems, to all campuses and administrative departments. To generate reports needed to ensure data quality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED or Associate's Degree in Computer Science
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of PEIMS preferred
Computer skills in word processing, databases, and spreadsheets
Excellent math skills
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience:
One to three years of secretarial/clerical and or computer-related experience
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Generate PEIMS exception reports in a timely manner.Assist campus personnel in identifying and resolving data discrepancies in a timely manner.Research and resolve Personal Identification (PID) errors in the PEIMS databases.Assist in generating and distributing of any PEIMS reports and/or documentation.Assist in filing/maintaining any PEIMS reports and/or documentation as required by the Office of Research and Evaluation.Provide and assist in the planning of PEIMS processes.Provide user support on various software packages as needed.Create ad hoc reports as needed.Perform basic computer programming including basic system maintenance.Assist users during training sessions as needed.Assist the PEIMS Coordinator as needed to ensure efficient daily operation.Assist with data entry as needed.Perform any other duties as may be assigned.Perform all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or others.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None
EQUIPMENT USED:
Various types of computers, printers, and other communications network equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Mental Demands:
Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form; input, interpret, and maintain accurate data; maintain emotional control under stress; ability to operate computers; ability to meet established deadlines.
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Frequent district-wide travel; occasional statewide travel; occasional prolonged and irregular hours; occasional exposure to hot or cold temperatures; moderate lifting and carrying; repetitive hand motions; prolonged used of computer terminal; sitting for prolonged periods of time
Normal office environment and on-site campus maintenance as required.
