MountainView is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Veterinarian to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality veterinary care to small animal patients while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The Part-Time Veterinarian will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and preventing illnesses and injuries in animals and ensuring exceptional client service.Top 5 Roles & Responsibilities :1. Veterinary Care:Conduct thorough physical examinations and diagnostic assessments to determine animal health.
Develop and implement treatment plans, including medical and surgical interventions.
Administer vaccines, medications, and anesthesia as necessary.
Perform routine and specialized surgeries, such as spays, neuters, and dental procedures.
2. Diagnostic and Lab Work:Interpret diagnostic tests, including X-rays, bloodwork, and urinalysis.
Analyze test results and provide accurate diagnoses.
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and assistants in sample collection and laboratory procedures.
3. Client Interaction:Communicate effectively with pet owners, explaining diagnosis and treatment options.
Provide compassionate and empathetic client education on pet care, preventive measures, and post-treatment care.
Answer client questions, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction.
4. Record Keeping:Maintain complete and accurate patient records, including electronic health records.
Document treatment plans, diagnoses, and procedures.
Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards of veterinary practice.
5. Collaboration:Work collaboratively with the veterinary team, including other veterinarians, technicians, and support staff.
Consult with specialists or refer cases as needed.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the hospital's overall mission.
Qualifications:Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
State licensure to practice veterinary medicine.
Strong knowledge of small animal medicine and surgery.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
Compassion for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Availability for part-time shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Commitment to staying up-to-date with veterinary advancements and best practices.
