RT&T, a joint venture of InDyne, Inc. and Amentum Services, Inc. is the prime contractor to support the Atlantic Range Technical Support Services (ARTSS) for the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) headquartered in Patuxent River, MD, and with locations in Maryland, Virginia, and California.

ARTSS supports Atlantic Test Ranges (ATR) and Atlantic Targets and Marine Operations (ATMO) in research and development, engineering, maintenance, operation, support of facilities, systems, and equipment in order to meet the engineering development and operational testing and fleet training missions for some of the world's premier systems. Our work with the U.S. Navy keeps the warfighter safe by testing systems before they are used in combat, and we are hiring personnel to support this important mission.

Background Information: This full-time, onsite position supports the Aircraft Signature & Avionics Measurement (ASAM) Radar Cross Section (RCS) team within the Range Instrumentation Division (RID) of the Atlantic Test Range (ATR) at Patuxent River, Maryland. This position would serve as a software developer within ASAM's RCS team, which conducts ground-to-air RCS and other measurements supporting aircraft, helicopters, Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), towed targets, and decoy tests

Duties & Responsibility Requirements:

Participates in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for assigned projectsDesigns, develops, tests, and documents software solutionsCollaborates effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure project successConducts independent research to resolve complex technical issuesWorks effectively in both individual and team environmentsUtilizes debugging tools and techniques within Qt to identify and resolve software defectsMaintains proficiency and adapts quickly to new technologiesNote: This job description describes the general nature of the duties and requirements of the job. Education, Experience, Certifications, and License Requirements:

BS Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering discipline from an Accredited College or UniversityProven experience with C++, JAVA, or other non-interpreted object-oriented programming languagesExperience with Qt. (Desired)Experience using Git version control. (Desired)Proven ability to work well with a team of software engineers with specifications, designs, technologies, and operational implementations of software solutionsAble to work within a large existing code baseGeneral networking skills requiredExperience with MATLAB and Python (Desired)Basic knowledge of Red Hat command-line interface (Desired)Ability to identify customer requirements (Desired)Knowledge of distributed system architectures (Desired)Knowledge of Standard Commands for Programmable Instrumentation (SCPI) and how to use it within software (Desired)Should have familiarity with SQL databases and Windows development environments (Visual Studio, etc.)Must have general computer maintenance skills (hardware/software installation and troubleshooting)NET framework skillsKnowledge of Windows Operating Systems is required and Red Hat is preferredShould be self-motivated, able to work independently, and ask questions as needed with the ability to leverage the internet to locate resolutions to problemsWork is located onsite ATR's facilityPossess a valid driver's license and be able to successfully pass drug screeningsClearance Requirements:

Currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain the proper US DoD issued security clearance, which requires US Citizenship. Conditions may vary. Most work is performed in enclosed buildings, but some outside work may be required. Work will include sitting, standing, walking, lifting and reaching.
