RT&T, a joint venture of InDyne, Inc. and Amentum Services, Inc. is the prime contractor to support the Atlantic Range Technical Support Services (ARTSS) for the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) headquartered in Patuxent River, MD, and with locations in Maryland, Virginia, and California.

ARTSS supports Atlantic Test Ranges (ATR) and Atlantic Targets and Marine Operations (ATMO) in research and development, engineering, maintenance, operation, support of facilities, systems, and equipment in order to meet the engineering development and operational testing and fleet training missions for some of the world's premier systems. Our work with the U.S. Navy keeps the warfighter safe by testing systems before they are used in combat, and we are hiring personnel to support this important mission.

Background Information:

This full-time position supports the Telemetry Systems Branch at the Atlantic Test Range (ATR) in Patuxent River, Maryland. ATR is the Navy's East Coast open air test range and provides real-time test operations support including data acquisition services to DoD and commercial customers for conducting aircraft and weapons research, development, test, evaluation, and training events. The Computer Scientist will serve as a vital member of a small software development team that designs, creates, tests, and deploys telemetry software based on project driven requirements. Duties & Responsibilities

:

Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle for assigned projectsDesign, develop, test, document, and deploy software solutions based on project requirementsCollaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure project successConduct independent research to resolve complex technical issuesWork effectively in both individual and team environmentsUtilize debugging tools and techniques within Windows development environments to identify and resolve software defectsMaintain technical proficiency and adapt quickly to new technologiesResponsible for testing, technical documentation, and real-time flight supportNote: This job description describes the general nature of the duties and requirements of the job.

Required Education, Experience, Skills, & Certifications/Licenses:

BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering from a school where the degree curriculum was accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)Proven experience with C#, JAVA, or other non-interpreted object-oriented programming languagesExperience using Git version control (Desired)Proven ability to work well with a team of software engineers with specifications, designs, technologies, and operational implementations of software solutionsAble to work within a large existing code baseExperience with Visual Studio 2022Experience with Matlab and Python (Desired)Ability to identify customer requirements (Desired)Knowledge of Standard Commands for Programmable Instrumentation (SCPI) and how to use it within software. (Desired)Should have familiarity with SQL databases and Windows development environments (Visual Studio, etc.)Must have general computer maintenance skills (hardware/software installation and troubleshooting)NET framework skillsClearance Requirement:

Currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain the proper US DoD issued security clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
