We are seeking a dedicated Data Analytics Specialist to work with metrics associated with measuring the outcome of student learning objectives to drive continuous improvement in curriculum design & development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analyzing data, validation metrics, and quality assurance. Familiarity with ISO standards and prior experience with the Department of Energy is highly preferred. The Data Analytics Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our operations align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Data Analytics Specialist will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, deriving actionable insights, and creating comprehensive reports to support strategic decision-making. This role requires expertise in data analysis, statistical methods, and report writing, along with the ability to present findings clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Collection and Management:
Collect, clean, and organize data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.Manage databases and data systems to maintain data integrity.Data Analysis:Apply statistical techniques and data analysis methods to interpret data and identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.Conduct data mining and advanced queries to extract valuable insights.Report Writing:Develop detailed reports that include findings, analyses, and recommendations.Create clear, concise, and visually engaging reports and presentations using tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.Ensure reports are tailored to the needs of the audience, providing both technical details and executive summaries.Data Visualization:Design and generate interactive dashboards and visualizations to present data insights in a user-friendly format.Utilize visualization tools to translate complex data into intuitive graphics and charts.Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights.Communicate findings and recommendations effectively through written reports and presentations.Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on data-related inquiries and decisions.Continuous Improvement:Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data analytics and reporting tools.Recommend and implement improvements to data analysis processes and reporting practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Certified Analytics Professional) are advantageous.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or in a similar role, with a strong track record of producing data-driven reports.
Experience with data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
Proficiency in data analysis software and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
Strong writing skills with the ability to produce clear and concise reports and documentation.
Advanced statistical analysis and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to create compelling data visualizations and presentations.
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to diverse audiences.
Possess or ability to obtain a Q level security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior experience with the Department of Energy is highly preferred.
Proven track record in assessing training programs and implementing validation metrics.
LOCATION: This is a full-time onsite position in Albuquerque, NM.
SALARY:
Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate's related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
