Salary: $20.00 - $24.50 HourlyLocation : Klamath Falls, ORJob Type: Temporary Part-TimeJob Number: 2024-58Department: Career and Technical EducationOpening Date: 10/22/2024Description JOB SUMMARYThe Computer Science Lab Assistant position is responsible for providing support for the CET/CSN faculty and students, including support on the NetLab implementation. Examples of Duties ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTo perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Assists Computer Science Lab Coordinator with the NetLab implementation and maintenance.Assists faculty, as needed, with the operation of equipment, accessories, or software.Establishes and maintains par level of essential supplies. Tracks inventory and usage of supplies and equipment. Submits requisition for supplies as needed. Coordinates maintenance/repair of equipment. Assist and tutor students as needed.Demonstrates the safe and proper use/disposal of laboratory equipment Maintains clean and organized classrooms and storage space.Support lab instruction sessions as needed. Communicate effectively with departmental faculty and staff through monthly meeting reports and other methods, weekly communications with lab faculty for lab support.NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOther duties as assigned.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONSAbility to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, climbing, or standing for extended periods of time; experience in education at the secondary and/or postsecondary level; exceptional oral, written, organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to set priorities on own initiative and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
