We are seeking an Executive Protection Professional/Driver to work closely with our busy CEO and his family in all aspects related to household maintenance, automobile management, vendor management, logistics, and executive driving. You will drive the CEO, his family, or other special guests to corporate functions, business meetings, personal errands, or other designated appointments. You will also manage assets and vendors, as well as assist with general household maintenance.
This will include but is not limited to moving/transporting household items around the home and to and from storage, performing light appliance repair, performing general handyperson services at the house and other family properties, security, and overall indoor/outdoor oversight of household workings.
Hours may vary in this position, so the ideal candidate must be comfortable with a very flexible and ever-changing schedule in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Estate Manager, this person must be a hard-working, committed team player and self-starter with a "no-job-too-big-or-too-small" attitude.
Essential ResponsibilitiesExecutive Driving
Safely transport CEO, family members, and other special guests in a timely manner to their required destinations, following appropriate roadways, detours, and GPS instructions.Assist with loading and unloading passenger luggage, providing white-glove service.Adhere to all local road and traffic safety signs and precautions, always ensuring the safety of passengers.Display a professional and respectful manner of customer service to all guests and passengers.Conduct regular inspections and schedule the maintenance of multiple high-value vehicles; assist with service appointments, car washes, warranty, and recall work.Pay detailed attention to items that need to be uniquely kept current in each vehicle.Maintain general vehicle cleanliness, keeping cars fully gassed and ready.Ensure all vehicle insurance policies and registrations are current and up to date, alerting Estate Manager of upcoming renewals.Travel to other family home(s) and vacation destinations at times (countrywide and international).Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and expenses, submitting reports as required.
Protection and Security
Ensure the safety and security of clients throughout their travel, maintaining a high level of awareness of potential threats or risks.Implement security protocols and procedures to protect clients and maintain confidentiality.Monitor and promptly respond to emergencies or incidents, taking appropriate action to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.Proactively stay informed about current security and safety practices.
Home Projects
Partner with Estate Manager to Identify any major repair issues and engage appropriate vendors.Move or discard bulk trash items and keep the property perimeter clean and free of any debris or waste.Make trips to local storage unit to move in/out seasonal decorations or holiday items.Take initiative to find anything on property needing service.Partner with Estate Manager to collaborate with on-site contractors and property vendors in adhering to the principal's standards.
Requirements
Education/Experience and Other Requirements
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.5+ years of experience as a chauffeur and/or private security professional.Experience with handguns and Class G Florida Armed Security license, HR 218, or Class D unarmed security license (preferred).
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.Demonstrated experience interfacing with high-level executives from diverse arenas (C-Suite executive relations is essential).Excellent driving skills and a demonstrated ability to maintain a safe and responsible driving record.Demonstrated experience managing projects for a dynamic principal and his family's residence, including attentive and timely management of contractors.Experience managing a frequently changing calendar with tact and diplomacy.Detailed knowledge of South Florida streets, highways, and traffic regulations.Bachelor's degree (preferred).
Bilingual-English/Spanish (preferred).
Flexibility in scheduling, as this role may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Valid passport.
Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Must sign a non-disclosure/confidentiality agreement.
Must maintain clean background/drug screenings and driving record.Demonstrated experience handling and operating luxury vehicles.Must live within 20 minutes of downtown Fort Lauderdale, Florida and have reliable transportation.Verifiable references.
Demonstrated proficiency in using computers, including email, Word, and Excel, plus appropriate apps to stay organized and productive.Broad knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and carpentry work.
