Unit: Intensive Care Unit Neonatal Lvl ll Meridian Hospital Flr 3# of Beds: 13Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:2-3Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Premature ≥32 weeks, late preterm, sepsis, hypoglycemia, requiring oxygen (NC, Hi Flow NC, CPAP), NOWS/NAS, feeding difficultiesAre RNs required to titrate drips: May initiate, short term management prior to transport to higher level of careCommon titratable &/or set rate drips: Dopamine, EpinephrineIs there a Charge Nurse on each shift: House supervisor on 24/7. Charge RN each shift, usually has an assignment and covers high risk deliveriesAre there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit: CNA for floor (L&D/PP/NICU) 4-5 days and nights/weekRT Equipment: CPAP used routinely; vents available for emergenciesAre there tele/monitor techs on this unit: NoScrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided: Blue scrubs provided on unitHow many shifts of unit/department-specific orientation: Customized based on each traveler, typically 2-3 shiftsAdditional Details
