A respected law firm is seeking a dynamic Associate Attorney to join their civil litigation team. This position offers a unique blend of office and fieldwork, with a focus on fire and explosion cases, along with products liability, toxic tort, and more. If you’re passionate about litigation and thrive in diverse environments, this role is for you.Key Responsibilities:Litigation: Handle a variety of cases, primarily focusing on fire and explosion incidents, with additional exposure to products liability, toxic tort, CO poisoning, mold, and other complex cases.Case Management: Oversee case developments, coordinate with clients, and prepare for court proceedings.Field Work: Engage in on-site investigations and collaborate with experts, particularly in fire and explosion cases.Travel: Minimal travel initially, increasing to regular travel after the first 12-18 months, including both local and national trips.Qualifications:Experience: 4-6 years of civil litigation experience preferred. Candidates with 2-10 years of experience will be considered.Licensing: Must be licensed to practice law in Michigan; multi-state and federal licensing is a plus.Expertise: Prior experience in fire and explosion cases is a significant advantage, though not required. Litigation experience is essential.Certification: Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI) certification is highly desirable.
