We are seeking a skilled and motivated Litigation Associate Attorney with between 2 - 8 years of experience to join our dynamic legal team in Albuquerque, NM. While a strong preference is given to candidates with product liability experience, those with experience in catastrophic fires and explosions or oilfield accidents will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities:
Case Management: Independently manage a diverse caseload, with a focus on product liability cases, while also handling matters related to catastrophic fires/explosions and oilfield accidents as needed.Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategy and preparation.Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and advising on legal matters.Drafting and Filing: Prepare, review, and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, and discovery requests.Court Appearances: Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and depositions.Negotiations: Engage in settlement negotiations and mediation to resolve cases effectively.Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and legal arguments.
Qualifications:
Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Licensure: Active license to practice law in New Mexico.Experience: 2 - 8 Years of litigation experience, with a strong preference for product liability cases. Experience in catastrophic fires/explosions and/or oilfield accidents is a bonus.
Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Proficient in legal research and case management software.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
