The Process Engineer develops and documents manufacturing techniques, materials, tools, and processes related to back-end semiconductor assembly. Performs analyses and selects plans to solve problems and enhance product yield and process flows.

Assembly Engineer General Summary
The Process Engineer develops and documents manufacturing techniques, materials, tools, and processes related to back-end semiconductor assembly. Performs analyses and selects plans to solve problems and enhance product yield and process flows.
Assembly Engineer Responsibilities
- Establishes high-yielding, cost-effective processes based on product needs and customer requirements.
- Maintains knowledge of new developments in manufacturing and design technologies.
- Develops and executes Design of Experiments (DOE) for process optimization utilizing appropriate statistical analysis software, such as JUMP, Minitab, Excel Statistics, or equivalent.
- Establishes processes based on product specifications.
- Evaluates and validate process and design alternatives based on product manufacturability.
- Understands principles of cost of goods sold and develops process improvements to increase the cost-effectiveness of manufacturing.
- Understands intellectual property issues relative to processes being developed.
- Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
- May serve as a member of cross-functional project teams.
- Understands work environment issues (i.e., OSHA regulations, etc.).
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.
- No supervisory responsibility, but provides informal guidance to new team members and training others across multiple shifts.
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- Recent college graduates may be considered for this position; relevant technical internship/co-op experience preferred
- Working knowledge of MIL-PRF-38535, MIL-STD-883, ISO9001 and EIA/JEDEC and standards
- Ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
- Skills:
- Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels in the organization.
- Ability to leverage and engage others to accomplish projects.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office® software suite
- Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines promptly.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
